EMR 12-Hour Downtime: 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 7 - 7:30 a.m., Sunday, December 8

The Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) will be down from Saturday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m. until Sunday, December 8, at 7:30 a.m. in order to accommodate two major updates to the system. There won't be many changes to the appearance or functionality of the EMR, but future improvements will be automatic and continuous without requiring lengthy downtimes.

Accessing Data During Downtime
You will not be able to make any changes to the EMR during the downtime. However, you will be able to view a subset of read-only clinical and demographic data for the current encounter of the patients on your unit. The data will be available via 724Access Downtime Viewer dedicated workstations placed at strategic locations throughout Kaleida Health. The downtime viewer presents a snapshot in time of what the EMR looked like two minutes prior to the onset of the downtime. See below for additional 724Access Downtime Viewer reference materials.
