Owning Our Care

As Kaleida Health continues to focus on Leading with CARE through Ownership, it is important that our providers not only participate but also lead the way in fostering a culture of ownership.Chief Medical Officers

One way our providers can “own” their roles at Kaleida Health is by helping us develop ways to reduce infections and improve patient safety and outcomes across the organization.

The Quality Department will notify physicians if any hospital-acquired condition (HAC) or patient safety concern was identified on one of their patients. These physicians know their patients and each case the best.

We ask these physicians to help us review the case and develop strategic improvement initiatives so we can educate others and minimize repeated events.

The goal is to have clinically-led action plans and processes that provide a roadmap for all clinicians to provide even safer and higher quality care for our patients. Thank you for your continued commitment to leading with CARE!
