November 14-21: Rock Out Hunger to Benefit Food Bank of WNY

To further serve and engage with our community, Kaleida Health is joining 97 Rock and WKBW 7 ABC to sponsor the 13th annual Rock Out Hunger to benefit the Food Bank of WNY this Thanksgiving season.RockOutHunger

This year, 97 Rock DJ Jickster will camp out in a semitruck at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital collecting turkeys and other perishable and non-perishable food items from November 14 through November 21. Please consider stopping by Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital to drop off food for those in need in our community. Every donation makes a difference!

Last year, Rock Out Hunger collected nearly 2,900 turkeys, as well as nearly $34,000 and 17,900 pounds of food to give to families in need of holiday meals. The Food Bank of WNY and the communities it serves are counting on the Kaleida Health family to make this the best year yet!

About the Food Bank of WNY
The Food Bank of WNY is a nonprofit charitable organization that procures and distributes food to more than 300 partner hunger-relief agencies and programs throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties. Their partner agencies, which include food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, group homes and daycare facilities, open their doors to feed our hungry community members.

In any given month, as many as 140,000 children, adults, veterans and seniors rely on the Food Bank of WNY and its agencies for food assistance, and this need grows even more around the holidays. In 2017, the Food Bank of WNY distributed nearly 14.9 million pounds of perishable and non-perishable food, enough to provide 12.4 million meals.
